The Provincial Archaeological Museum (PAM Velzeke) is a Gallo-Roman museum in the Belgian village of Velzeke, part of Zottegem. It highlights prehistory, the Gallo-Roman era and the early Middle Ages in the province of East Flanders. The museum is located along the Paddestraat, which is known for the passage of the cycling peloton at the Tour of Flanders.
A permanent exhibition shows the visitor the daily life of the past through many archaeological finds from the region. These are often research results from the excavation service. Certain subjects are further explored through temporary display. The museum was established on the site of a flourishing Gallo-Roman settlement at the crossroads of two military roads.
Several (educational) projects let you experience the past. Men can also wear several archaeological chains.
