Nestled within beautifully maintained gardens, the South Lawn Hotel is located on the edge of the New Forest National Park, while only a mile from the beach and the Jurassic Coastline of Hampshire.
When not relaxing in your room, the spacious lounge area includes a well stocked bar for a leisurely drink. The hotel serves fresh, locally caught fish and variety of regional produce. The Cornwallis Suite, with its own bar area and separate entrance, is able to cater for parties, weddings and conferences for up to 150 guests.
Cliff top and beach walks are within easy reach, as well as the New Forest. Beaulieu Motor Museum and Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway are just a 25-minute drive away. Day trips can be taken to the Isle of Wight, with the ferry terminal just 10 minutes away by car. Barton-on-Sea Golf Club (3.5 miles / 5.5 km) - situated on the coastal cliff between Highcliffe and Milford-on-Sea, this striking course offers a challenging round.
St Barbe Museum & Art Gallery (3.5 miles / 5.5 km) - situated in nearby Lymington, interactive exhibits explain the history of the area between the New Forest and the Solent. An exhibition space regularly showcases work by both local and international artists.
New Forest National Park (5.5 miles / 9 km) - this beautiful region includes the largest remaining areas of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and old-growth forest in the south east of England. The Hotel has 24 rooms all with bathroom en suite. There is a large lounge area with bar. The food is under the constant supervision of the Head Chef. The Cornwallis Suite, with its own bar area and separate entrance, is able to cater for parties, wedding and conferences for 120 to 150 guests.
